On Thursday we presented Mold Alehouse with Locale Pub of the Year and Vale of Clwyd CAMRA Pub Of The Year. Congratulations to Gareth and Rebecca and good luck to them in the North Wales competition.

Congratulations to @MoldAleHouse on winning the North Wales Pub of the Year competition as judged by the 4 participating branches in the region. Mold Alehouse will now progress to the next round of the competition against pubs in Mid-Wales, West-Wales and South-Wales.

Presentation of the Vale of Clwyd LocAle pub of the year award by VOC Chairman David Tullett to Nick Mann of the The Lletty Hotel, Mostyn, Holywell, at our meeting this week. Nick was delighted to receive the award.

Branch CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024 3 pubs were nominated, namely Rose & Crown (Graianrhyd), Mold Alehouse and Blue Bell (Halkyn). They were all surveyed by 4 volunteers using the CAMRA judging criteria. The winner of the Vale of Clwyd CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024 is @MoldAleHouse

As many members will know, the community in Vicars Cross have been trying to purchase the "Cenny" as a community asset pub from Admiral Taverns. They have made significant progress in obtaining a Government grant and a commercial mortgage.

1/2 Rhyl's very own Esplanade Club has been awarded CAMRA Club of the Year for Wales. The certificate was handed over to Proprietor Hilary Wright-Jones by Councillor Barry Mellor, during a presentation on Saturday.

On Saturday, Anne presented The Vale Of Clwyd Camra Pub of the Year Award to Gareth and Rebecca at @MoldAleHouse . It was also announced that Mold Alehouse had been voted Locale pub of the Year too. Mold Alehouse will now compete in the North Wales Pub of the Year.

VALE OF CLWYD CAMRA PUB OF THE YEAR Mold Alehouse has once again won the Pub of the Year for our Branch. We will be presenting Gareth and Rebecca with their well deserved award this Saturday the 20th May at around 16.00.

2/2 Miles and his wife Norma have run the HQ for the last 23 years and they are now retiring. They were offered best wishes by our members who attended. Miles has been in the pub game since 1974 and the HQ has been in the Good Beer Guide for the last consecutive 13 years.
