आज “Metro Monday” पर ऑफिस से घर लौटने के लिए भी मैंने मेट्रो से यात्रा की। इस दौरान लोगों से बातचीत करने और उनके अनुभव जानने का अवसर मिला। यह देखकर खुशी हुई कि बड़ी संख्या में दिल्लीवासी मेट्रो और सार्वजनिक परिवहन को अपनी रोज़मर्रा की जिंदगी का हिस्सा बना रहे हैं। यह न केवल सुविधाजनक है, बल्कि राष्ट्रहित में एक जिम्मेदार कदम भी है। वर्तमान वैश्विक ईंधन परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी ने देशवासियों से ईंधन बचत का आह्वान किया है। मैं सभी दिल्लीवासियों से आग्रह करती हूं कि जहां संभव हो, मेट्रो, बस और कारपूलिंग को अधिक से अधिक अपनाएं और सप्ताह में एक दिन “No Vehicle Day” का संकल्प भी लें। राष्ट्रहित में किया गया हर छोटा प्रयास, भारत को और मजबूत बनाता है। #MetroMonday #MeraBharatMeraYogdaan

On the lines of recent reductions of VAT on ATF, by states like Maharashtra, I appreciate the timely decision of Delhi Chief Minister Smt @gupta_rekha ji and the Delhi Government to also reduce VAT on ATF from 25% to 7%. At a time when the aviation sector continues to face global operational and cost pressures, such proactive measures by State Governments provide much-needed support to airlines and help keep air travel affordable for passengers. Delhi, being one of the country’s busiest aviation hubs, will particularly benefit from this decision through improved operational stability and continued affordable connectivity for lakhs of daily passengers. DELHI METRO TO RUN EXTRA TRAIN TRIPS TO ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE TO USE METRO THAN PRIVATE VEHICLES Recognizing the critical role of mass transit in ensuring energy security, economic resilience, and environmental sustainability in the extant scenario, DMRC is undertaking a series of strategic initiatives to facilitate greater adoption of metro services while enhancing commuter convenience, safety, and accessibility. Operational Preparedness for Increased Demand: Anticipating a likely shift from road to Metro in the extant scenario, DMRC will introduce 24 additional train trips from 06 additional trains every Monday starting from 18th May 2026 and on other days, as and when required. This capacity expansion aims to ensure uninterrupted service and efficient passenger management during increased passenger journeys. DMRC will be closely monitoring any surge in demand to take any action required to meet the demand. Enhanced Security and Passenger Flow: DMRC is also intensifying measures to improve commuter movement to handle additional passenger capacity by: a)Deploying additional security personnel b)Operating additional ticketing counters c)Activating spare DFMDs and baggage scanners d)Reducing waiting times at frisking points e)Ensuring smoother passenger movement during peak periods Ease of connectivity to desired destinations: Delhi Metro’s extensive network serves as a vital mobility lifeline by providing direct and seamless intermodal connectivity with railways stations, major Interstate Bus Terminals (ISBTs), Airport terminals, Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), Noida Metro and Rapid Metro, Gurgaon. This integrated transport framework enables commuters to transition efficiently between multiple transport systems, significantly reducing dependency on private vehicles and petroleum-based road transport. In addition, DMRC’s wide network also ensures safe, reliable, and swift connectivity to major commercial marketplaces, Government ministries and administrative centers, corporate offices and cyber hubs, educational institutions, tourism, heritage, and cultural destinations. From Chandni Chowk and Connaught Place to Cyber City, educational hubs, and iconic landmarks, Delhi Metro continues to provide comprehensive urban accessibility across Delhi-NCR. Robust Last-Mile Connectivity for Seamless Travel: To ensure end-to-end commuter convenience, DMRC has developed an expansive last-mile ecosystem across 160 metro stations, currently serving approximately 100,000 passengers daily in the form of E-autos, E-rickshaws, Bike taxis, Cab aggregators, Bicycle rentals, Smart Door-to-Door integrated journey planning via the DMRC Saarthi App. These measures are designed to bridge the critical gap between metro stations and final destinations while promoting green mobility solutions. Recently, DMRC with the support of IOCL has started Hydrogen based bus service in Central Vista area to provide last mile services from metro stations to the offices in Central Vista Area. DTC is operating around 1500 Devi buses which are providing last mile services at 52 metro stations. More Devi buses are progressively being introduced. Park and Ride Facilities: To further encourage a shift from personal vehicle use to public transport, parking facilities are currently operational at 126 metro stations across Delhi-NCR, enabling commuters to conveniently park and continue journeys through metro services. Advanced Digital Ticketing and Customer Facilitation: To simplify access and reduce dependency on physical counters, DMRC has adopted number of digital ticketing solutions to avoid queuing at stations which include- a)QR code tickets b)National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) c)WhatsApp ticketing d)Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon, and IRCTC integrations e)Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). f)Additional ticket counter shifts where required g)Expanded customer facilitation staff deployment In addition, the DMRC Metro Sarthi App now offers a fully integrated travel platform, allowing commuters to book Metro tickets, Auto-rickshaws, Bike taxis, smart door to door service ensuring first mile, last mile and metro connectivity all through a single transaction interface. Commitment to Sustainable Urban Mobility: DMRC remains committed to supporting national priorities of reducing fuel dependency, promoting sustainable mobility, enhancing commuter convenience and strengthening economic resilience. By expanding metro accessibility, enhancing multimodal integration, and improving commuter-focused services, DMRC is positioning Delhi Metro as a cornerstone of India’s sustainable urban transport future. वैश्विक स्तर पर ईंधन से जुड़ी बदलती परिस्थितियों के बीच मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमती रेखा गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में दिल्ली कैबिनेट ने हवाई यात्रियों को राहत देने के लिए एविएशन टर्बाइन फ्यूल (ATF) पर वैट को 25% से घटाकर 7% करने का महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिया है। यह रियायती दर शुरुआती 6 महीने तक लागू रहेगी। इस फैसले से हवाई यात्रा को अधिक सुविधाजनक और किफायती बनाने में मदद मिलेगी। साथ ही दिल्ली की कनेक्टिविटी मजबूत होगी और व्यापार, निवेश तथा रोजगार को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा। यह निर्णय जनसुविधा और विकसित दिल्ली के संकल्प को मजबूत करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। #ViksitDelhi

आज उत्तर पश्चिम दिल्ली में आयोजित मेगा सेल्फ हेल्प ग्रुप (SHG) मेला-2026 का उद्घाटन किया। माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी के नेतृत्व में आज स्वयं सहायता समूह केवल आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण का माध्यम नहीं रहे हैं, अपितु वे बड़े सामाजिक बदलाव का आधार भी बन चुके हैं। जब महिलाओं के पास अवसर और बैंकिंग सुविधाओं तक सुलभ पहुंच होती है, तब उनका आत्मविश्वास पूरे समाज को नई दिशा देता है। इसी लक्ष्य के साथ महिलाओं को कौशल और पूंजी से जोड़कर उन्हें उद्यमी बनाने पर विशेष बल दिया जा रहा है। इस मेले में 25 से अधिक स्वयं सहायता समूहों द्वारा तैयार हस्तशिल्प, ज्वेलरी, टेक्सटाइल और खाद्य उत्पादों में उनकी मेहनत और कला की स्पष्ट झलक दिखाई देती है। ऐसे आयोजन यह विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि स्थानीय उत्पादों को यदि सही मंच मिले, तो आत्मनिर्भरता का संकल्प तेजी से साकार हो सकता है। ग्रामीण और शहरी अर्थव्यवस्था में महिलाओं की यह सक्रिय भागीदारी उन्हें आर्थिक रूप से स्वतंत्र बनाने के साथ-साथ देश की प्रगति में भी समान भागीदार बना रही है। इस सार्थक पहल के लिए जिला प्रशासन को हार्दिक बधाई। इस अवसर पर सांसद श्री योगेंद्र चंदोलिया जी, विधायक श्री कुलवंत राणा जी एवं अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों की गरिमामय उपस्थिति रही। @yogenderchando1 @KulwantRanaBJP #ViksitDelhi
