Wow, this is bad for Burnley
It’s bad
It’s really really bad

🚨 Michael Jackson will be Burnley’s interim manager until the end of the season, club statement confirms. Follows Scott Parker leaving with immediate effect.

A recent report says that voice notes are huge across the world… apart from in Britain.
Here’s my two cents (or pennies) on why I dislike voice notes:
1. I don’t want to have to put in earphones or find a quiet place when out and about, just for you to tell me “yes” or “no” about whether you’re free for a cup of tea next Wednesday.
2. While I’m watching telly, I want to be able to glance down at my phone and get the information I need in text form. I don’t want to have to turn the telly off and listen to your private podcast that’s just for me.
3. I don’t want to wade through three minutes of waffle and chit-chat I never asked for when a thumbs-up emoji will do.
4. It makes me feel like you expect a voice note back - and I’m not doing that.
5. I have no interest in tangents about how you’ve just seen an interesting pigeon on the pavement. I asked if you could give me a lift to the station, and 12 minutes in you’re talking about a pigeon and I’ve missed my train.
6. The convenience is all yours. It’s quick to send a voice note, but much slower for me to consume it. It’s bad manners.
I think that about covers it. Of course, if voice notes are a more accessible option for the sender (due to difficulty typing, vision impairment, language barriers, etc.), that’s completely understandable - a different kettle of fish! But if you just like waffling, I’d rather not be the waffle sounding board.
(Really I think I’m just jealous of people who are able to talk coherently for minutes at a time).

@FPL_Brandon I did it the week b4 as Salah loves a goal against West Ham didn't quite pay off, 5 goals no involvement from the egyptian king

Gameweek 29 Review ✅
Points: 78
Rank: 9,616 → 4,542 (+53%)
This week I sold Haaland for Salah and captained him. Why? I’m an analytical manager, his underlying data is strong and he has plenty of routes to points. I also knew I’d be in the vast minority making that move because most people don’t want to take such a big bet, even when it’s +EV, so it was a play with +EV and +Risk.
Overall this season I haven’t been making high risk plays, but I liked this one. Salah was the best captain this week and next, especially considering Haaland’s fixture is sandwiched between two UCL games against Madrid. I have the rare opportunity to achieve another top 500, so I went for it.

@_zabiiii Zero the rest of them didn't hang about to get murdered and once the murderer done his bits he was on his toes so he didn't get collared by the fuzz
But 22 is the answer I think you're looking for

We all overslept this morning
The Saturday alarm is usually the kids waking us up at 7am —but I woke up in at panic at 8:30am thinking the monitors died & the kids were awake, screaming or something
But no —everyone was still passed out (thank god)
The bad news?
We couldn’t make ballet class…
Rue wasn’t happy
She wanted her bun & to grind ballet
So I told her we’d still get ready & throw a ballet session on the TV
This is how you think on your feet and turn a dad loss into a win
Dad’s bun still needs work but the kid locked in for 20 minutes and ripped a ballet class in the living room
(PT6 —Don’t tell her mother that I overslept)

@RealMartinCee @BMLSTHolder Was my first game, I'm somewhere in there.
They also used to have a wall mural of this scene in Upton Park corporate area
English

Can anyone clear this up?
I was told by a Burton fan yesterday that the floodlights at their ground once belonged to West Ham and stood proudly at Upton Park?
I have looked on google and even called on @BMLSTHolder for his knowledge but so far drawn a blank. Can anyone confirm? ⚒️ #COYI

@TheNumberGameX Surely worst case is own goal and red card thus suspended for the 2nd fixture

Different scenarios for a Gabriel TC in DGW26 👇
1️⃣ Best-case scenario
CS vs Brentford: 4
CS vs Wolves: 4
Bonus points: 4
Defensive contributions: 2
1 Goal: 6
1 Assist: 3
2 Appearances: 4
Total: 27 points
TC total: 27 × 3 = 81 points
2️⃣ Realistic scenario
DEFCONS vs Brentford: 2
CS vs Wolves: 4
Bonus points: 2
Appearances: 4
Total: 12 points
TC total: 12 × 3 = 36 points
3️⃣ Worst-case scenario (Ruled out: Never happened this season)
No returns vs Brentford: 2
No returns vs Wolves: 2
Total: 4 points
TC total: 4 × 3=12 points
So let’s focus on what is most likely to happen:
✅️ Assumptions that HOLD
- Gabriel starts both games: very likely
- Arsenal strong CS odds vs Wolves: likely
- Some attacking threat from set pieces: likely
- Bonus points possible- plausible
✅️ Best-case scenerio (81 points) - Aggressive
• 2 Clean sheet 1✔️
• A goal + an assist ❌️ unlikely
• Max Bonus in both games ❌️
• DEFCONS in both games❌️
Verdict: Possible but unlikely outcome.
✅️ High Realistic upside
• CS vs Wolves: 4
• CS vs Brentford: 4
• Bonus (one game): 2
• Appearance points: 4
• One attacking return(goal or assist): 6/3
Total : 17-20 points
TC: 51- 60 points
✅️ True Realistic scenario
• Onc CS: 4
• Appearance: 4
• DEFCONS/Bonus: 2/4
Total: 10-12 points
TC: 30-36 points
Where do you think Gabriel realistically lands: ceiling or floor? 🤔

@FPL_Marcello If your expecting a goal from him it wipes chalobahs cs so bench him, but I'm rubbish at this game so 🤷🏻

@FPLPriceChanges Because 8 of my players started on the bench last week

WC24 Tip ✍️
Flexibility is key. Wildcarders this week need to gain over the next few weeks to make the most of the advantage, but don’t sell yourself short by the time we get to GW31.
What does that mean? Don’t stack up to heavy on DGW26, leaving yourself with a team full of blanks in GW31. Keep in mind Chelsea also don’t look amazing after GW27.
Make a team that you can rotate. Wildcarders need to keep transfers in the bank to keep up with the hectic schedule in GW31-36. Make sure you have a team that allows you to roll transfers consistently, and go into GW31 with moves ready to go without having to take hits.
Do all this properly and you should be in a position to target fixture swings this week, and look good for the next 4/5 weeks, while banking transfers and heading into GW31 with 4/5 moves to make to attack the doubles and blanks.

@FPLGOAT7 Who to bench haaland, semenyo or foden currently on semenyo
English

A few tips for GW22 ✅
1. Keep your man City assets eve. Guehi and semenyo and even if you have more than 3 players from them
2. Enzo is the best Cunha replacement imo
3. Wilson is another decent replacement but I'm not sure he would be reliable long term
4. Don't buy don't sell Liverpool assets
5. Start Alderete or mukiele if you have them
6. Rice, Gabriel and Timber are the best arsenal triple up but wouldn't sell Saka for rice this week
7. At this point I'm hoping Bruno G shows some regression
8. Enzo, Rogers, Wilson, Bruno F are the best Cunha replacements
9. Haaland, Ekitike, Rice/Saka, Bruno G in terms of captaincy
