Big Walnut junior forward Sydney Mobley has been crowned Ohio Ms. Basketball for 2026! The 6'2" superstar has led her @BigWalnutEagles back to State for the second consecutive season, averaging 20.3 PPG, 9.0 Rebs, and 2.5 Ast in route to a 23-4 overall record, and undefeated OCC Capital Conference championship. Mobley is a 4-star rated prospect with 42 Division 1 college basketball offers. She will lead @bignutgirlshoop vs #1 Mount Notre Dame (26-0) in the Division II State Semifinals on Friday in Dayton, seeking the program's first-ever Championship game appearance. Congratulations to Sydney on an outstanding season so far, and best of luck to our Golden Eagles at State this weekend!

Quit my full time job, sold everything I owned, including my car, bought a one-way Amtrak ticket from Kalamazoo MI to San Antonio TX (26 hours), to walk around the AFCA Convention and hope someone would take a chance on me.

What’s the craziest move you made in your coaching career? Mine was taking a full-time offensive line college job 11 days before training camp well only ever playing receiver and coaching wide receivers…. Best move I could have made to be the best I could all round but crazy.
