Public Service Announcement If your son was dismissed from his high school team for missing the teams spring break tournament, to go on vacation (beach trip, etc.). Or Your son isn't getting playing time because he missed the spring break tournament for vacation. Do this. Call the school's athletic director or principal and request a meeting. Tell them it's important. At the meeting, tell them how much you appreciate the coach caring enough about your son to teach him about life, and how much you appreciate him holding your son accountable. Then thank them for hiring a coach that cared about commitment, sacrifice and teaching the kids that being a great teammate comes with responsibilities. Then suggest they give the coach a raise, shake their hands and reiterate how much you appreciate them.

So let’s go through this timeline again. Brewers win Game 5 Saturday. They celebrate on the field They go to the clubhouse and celebrate. They go back onto the field hours later to take team pictures. At the end of the pictures, Bauers is handed a flag from a fan. He brings it to show the team, and for the last few pictures they take it with the flag as a fun rivalry thing. Now the narrative is that the Brewers are a classless organization and deserve to be swept and injured because of those few minutes? Make it make sense. It’s baffling to me.

Seiya Suzuki, Kyle Tucker and PCA have 10 combined HRs since the All Star break. That has to change for this team to get right and make a run.

Cubs are 43-38 since June 6 3 months of “fine but not really good” baseball.

@Davey_Baseball @thekapman I can’t understand why the CF gets a pass in this. Team is 13-12 since August 1. Of the 7 regulars (not counting C and 3B) the least productive hitter (.176/1 HR/4 RBI) is the CF. Prior to the ASG, I was told he was an MVP candidate, needs to play like it.

@thekapman It’s average baseball sure. But where were these complaints in the first half when they were hitting with runners in scoring position? They’ve been so good pitching, they just haven’t executed with RISP or hit home runs. The big 3 have disappeared and you can add Busch too…

He’s not worth $500M unless someone gives it to him. If those other guys played well because Tucker did, then maybe he’s worth a lot (not $500M) to your team

Just because Tucker playing poorly doesn’t mean the MLB leader in RBI at the ASG can’t play well, or the MVP candidate CF. They’ve been nearly as bad, why aren’t they playing well?
