@DavidBetlach (No one tell him that it makes 15 in the Top 20)
English

@captbuccaneer I think the teams may have already viewed him as an interior guy, so that was more to confirm their beliefs.
English

@CoachBirach He took center reps at the Combine. Probably there

@_NickWhalen If you want a pass rusher who can win now (While Caleb is cheap), go Mesidor. He's out the box a high single digit winner. If you want a developmental project, go Faulk. I think the Bears would go Mesidor, even if you only get 1 real contract out of him.
Maximize the window.
English

1) Schematically they weren't asked to do the same things.
2025 snaps
Outside OT:
Mesidor 86.1%
Faulk 60.3%
Head up OT:
Mesidor 12.6%
Faulk 29%
B Gap:
Mesidor 1.3%
Faulk 8.7%
A Gap:
Mesidor 0%
Faulk 2%
2) They're built very differently
Mesidor 6'3" 259 lbs
-24% wingspan
-10% arm length
Faulk 6'6" 276 lbs
-86th% wingspan
-85th% arm length
-97th% vertical jump
-96th% broad jump
This is like comparing Arik Armstead to Nic Scourton. They play the game differently and are asked to do different things on the field. I would hope Mesidor can bend easier than Faulk because he's shorter and smaller. I would hope Faulk could run through an OL's face because he's bigger and longer.
Bears Blog Boy@TommyK_NFLDraft
And it’s not like he is winning by being more physically dominant than the younger players. He wins with pass rush instincts and precision. His feel is excellent. A guy like Faulk is supposed to be the best athlete on the field and just doesn’t win that way. Rarely wins at all

Joel Klatt in his pod said that Spencer Fano (OT, Utah) has a chance to fall in the draft to the 20s because multiple GMs see him as a Guard in the NFL.
1. Small arms are a liability vs. Elite Edge rushers
2. Struggled against good competition (e.g. vs. David Bailey from Texas Tech)
If that's the case, Chargers will run to the podium to draft him and play him as a Guard who can play Tackle in a pinch.
Elite movement, quick processing, power, torque and agility makes him a "perfect" fit for zone-blocking schemes.

English

@heykayadams Please lord know the comps you are talking about. These two athletes are nothing alike.
English

Never got the recognition he should have. People hype up his time with the Eagles, but he was an All-Pro level player for a good 4-6 year strech with the Lions.
Will get snubbed for the Hall of Fame even though his tape says he should be in it. Elite elite player and dude.

@AnthonyWriter5 We can be optimistic without lying. Inzien and Scruggs are not better than Amik and Glasgow lol
Scruggs was a tag on, not something to count on. Inzien was the Maddox replacement, not the Amik replacement.
English

@KevnMalek @AnthonyWriter5 He's more of a backup, maddox type. Ideally he's a backup option rather than a true starter.
English

@CoachBirach @AnthonyWriter5 That’s exactly what they did yesterday.
English

@MatzeB92 Patriots also got older players and some with injury concerns.
Harold Landry
Stefon Diggs
Morgan Moses

Only true younger guy was Milton Williams. It's all about the process and the correct evaluation of where your team is. Otherwise you get the 25 Commanders all over again.
English

@CoachBirach Tbf the Vikings signed some older players with injury concerns. You have to evaluate the signings themselves.
