📢 Listen up dUMB fans. Cam Hutson is the son of Michigan State basketball alum and national champion Andre Hutson. Cam grew up not liking scUM. He is not some random but you all just started watching basketball in mid January so I’m not surprised you don’t know ball.

Laying the foundation for this early: Don’t be surprised if the Lions draft Bryce Boettcher, LB, Oregon earlier than consensus, potentially even top 100

Something I noticed post combine was that everyone started saying Spencer Fano is an interior player. Not once pre combine did I hear that take. And now everyone acts like that was the take the entire time. Opinions can change, but it's weird how uniform the shift was.

Kyle Whittingham on junior WR Andrew Marsh: "He's a tremendous talent" 👑 The Michigan coach says Marsh will be "a very good Big Ten receiver" as the Wolverines rebuild their passing attack Story: on3.com/teams/michigan…

Hot take: this is the Denver Broncos trying to shortcut a rebuild—and that almost never ends well. Paying a premium for Jaylen Waddle doesn’t magically make you a contender overnight. Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins just turned one player into flexibility… and in today’s NFL, flexibility wins more games than one highlight machine.

Broncos are trading for Miami WR Jaylen Waddle, per source. Denver receives: Waddle and Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft. Miami receives: Broncos’ 1st round pick (30th overall) along with their late 3rd and 4th round picks (30th in each round) in this year’s draft.

@nickkorte At this point if teams continue to sign new FAs does it still cancel out picks?

At $4M APY plus $1.25M in Likely To Be Earned incentives, Al-Quadin Muhamman should easily qualify as a compensatory free agent in favor of Detroit. That adds a 7th rounder to the Lion on the 2027 comp picks board. overthecap.com/player/al-quad…

@MStopsky The only way that any of those players are Pro Bowlers is if everyone else passes in going

Here are a few of my winners through the first day and a half of free agency 1. The Pittsburgh Steelers They added 3 players with starting caliber SumerScores and re-signed Asante Samuel Jr, who has proven to be a solid DB when healthy. I like this team more now than I did last season.

If Raiders really had all these other offers then it should not be a problem to do another trade for a team willing to take on the deal.

Isiah Pacheco to the Lions, per league source. @TomPelissero first. Lions add a physical RB to replace David Montgomery.

My FA Hot Take is that Cade Mays is gonna be a Pro Bowler on the #Lions and the biggest value steal of Free Agency so far this year.

The Cade Mays signing is more than just signing a center, but he’s very versatile and can play either LG or RG. Scruggs and Mays both have iOL “Glasgow”-like flexibility Versatility is such a high component for Brad and Dan. It makes the roster resilient.
Between The Numbers - Anthony@Btwn_TheNumbers

Mays was an iOL for Dane Brugler in the 2022, but logged snaps at all 5 positions in college: “competes with edge and keeps busy from snap to whistle…alert player and not often fooled (can he grew up in a football family and has been playing the position a long time)”

For Jameson Williams, if you include the 5th year option, the actual APY on Jamo's deal was about 24 mil 4 year, 96 mil for Jamo vs 4 year, 119 mil for Alec Pearce God I love the Lions Front office
