Geno Auriemma’s 2 rules for shot selection
1) If you’re open, and it’s a shot we expect you to shoot, you have to shoot it
2) If you shoot the ball when you’re not open and somebody else is, that’s the last shot you get that game

If your child was never a starter, never played on a winning team, or was never an all-star BUT they became a great teammate, learned how to handle adversity, and developed resilience, then their youth sports experience was an absolute success.
Doug Hauschild is the single greatest ambassador for @DaytonMBB ever! He is a servant leader who happens to be the lead communications professional for Flyers basketball for decades. Doug makes everyone around him better and wants no credit. Today, ALL credit to THE BEST EVER!!!
There has never been another player like Pete Rose in my lifetime. This is the way I will remember him, playing the game harder than anyone else ever did.
Few athletes will leave behind more complicated legacies. Today isn’t the day for that.
Today, let’s just say thanks to Charlie Hustle, for playing the way we always dreamt we would if given the chance. #RIP
The #1 skill missing from today’s athlete is mental toughness. Refusing to hold oneself accountable to individual and team goals. Blaming others for circumstances. Not fighting through adversity. Pouting and poor body language. Physical skill can only take you so far. Get tough!
Weird high school baseball rule: the pitcher standing 60 feet away from home doesn’t need a helmet. The kid running to get a foul ball 300 feet away must have a helmet 🤔
To top it off... referee couldn't get to baseline to make calls, made them from FT line and then would try to coach girls on how to play D. The girl working the clock was on her phone letting 4-5 seconds run off every whistle.
Terrible experience last weekend with AAU. The Clash in Cincinnati was charging $25 a person/day to watch HS level basketball. So we had to decide which one person from my family could go watch my daughter play. And $600 for each team to get in. @Spencer_SEBBall@SelectEventsBB
8 in a row for the red hot Firebirds as they beat a real good West Clermont team. Mastro goes 6 2/3 if shutout baseball and Johnson gets the save. Doty leads the way at the plate with 2 hits.
