Seventh season coaching soccer. Covered a bunch of them during my sports writing days, but never been on the sideline during a playoff PK shootout. Glad we won this one. Onto the next round!

Most high schools shouldn't be copying college offenses. They recruit to fit personnel to heir system. You're stuck with what walks through the halls. Build something that fits whoever is in the locker room every August.

As an AD, I implemented a strength program where every athlete lifts in season with their current team. I challenged coaches to scientifically prove it was not beneficial. No one could. It eliminated the tug of war over athletes and reinforced what we believe.
