Head Varsity Coach at age 21. Who else could it be? Insanity. Couldn’t be more proud. LHS has a coach that will go to war for her players, and will do everything she can to make her team and that community proud. And I know they’ll go hard in that weightroom too. #LinksPride

FOUR YEARS AGO TODAY! (I AM CANCER FREE:)
Four years ago today, one word changed everything.
Cancer.
When my doctor walked into the room, my heart was already racing. The fear, the anxiety, the unknown—it was suffocating. And although I had imagined this moment over and over, nothing prepared me for the weight of those words:
“Aaron… you have cancer.”
The first two words slipped past me. But the last two? They hit like a freight train. “Have cancer.” In that instant, my world shifted. My thoughts went into survival mode. A thousand questions. A thousand fears. My life flashed before me in a matter of seconds.
I thank God that my wife, Brooke was in the room with me, and as a nurse, she understood what was being said.
That one word—Cancer—brought fear.
It brought anxiety.
It brought sadness.
It brought uncertainty.
But over time, if that one word could change everything for the worse, then another kind of word could change everything for the better.
So I began replacing that word with God’s Word as I grew up watching my parents do it daily.
Words of life instead of death.
Words of hope instead of fear.
Words of purpose, faith, and fight.
Once I shifted my attitude, my words began to change. And that changed everything.
Because here’s the truth: No one talks to you more than you talk to yourself.
So what are you saying?
Are your words building you up or tearing you down?
Are they healing or hurting?
Are they rooted in love, purpose, and hope?
Words matter. Attitude matters. And what we choose to dwell on… absolutely matters.
Four years later, I’m still learning. I’m still growing. And I’m still fighting.
Here are a few lessons that cancer—and life—have taught me:
1. Thank God every day for every day. Tomorrow isn’t promised, so don’t take today for granted.
2. Love your loved ones deeply. Seek reconciliation when possible. Don’t let pride rob you of peace.
3. Pick up the phone. Make the call. Say what needs to be said before it’s too late.
4. Everyone you meet is battling something. Be kind… or be quiet.
5. Your health is your true wealth. If you have your health, you have many problems. If you don’t, you have just one.
6. Watch your mind’s mouth. The words you speak to yourself will shape the life you live.
This life is short. And it is precious.
So don’t wait to live. Don’t wait to speak life.
Start now.
Sometimes, one word can change everything. It's your attitude; it's your choice!
Begging YOU ALL: PLEASE GET INTO YOUR Check-ups!
Early detection SAVED MY LIFE!
(LOL!!!!! I have NO idea how Coach Ron Brown got into the hospital as it was during covid and I could only have one visitor......that man loves his former players and we love him:)
