Duke Tobin unequivocally believes the biggest problem with the Bengals isn't talent, it's finishing games.

@TheKingSaysSo1 @Trags 26 years of experience building a roster for one of just 32 teams definitely means he’s qualified in experience. How good he is at it… up for debate. But, Duke has helped build some Bengals teams that were quite good. But the 2024 and 2025 Bengals teams were not good.

@Kepert14 @KamChance513 Agreed 100%, they need veteran linebacker that makes the defense better immediately and can help mentor Knight and Carter . I think he can develop into a pretty good players over time. They were not ready to take this many snaps and be aligning the defense.

@CoachConly @KamChance513 I think Carter is very good and run defense. I mean, he had 20 tackles against the Patriots. But he is just bad in open space. I think he can be a good player, but I would need to see you so much improvement immediately before I would feel comfortable starting him again next year

@Kepert14 @KamChance513 Carter has been improved too I think. He’s reading the ball well, he’s getting there but just hasn’t gotten guys on the ground. Not saying that’s isn’t alarming. Cause the awful tackling is always alarming. But I think he can improve there. But seems like he’s reading it well.

@KamChance513 Him and Carter have both improved a ton during the season. I’d love to see the Bengals add a veteran linebacker for them to be able to play with and learn from. They got thrown into the deep end the first half of the season and it was a mess. But the improvement has been big.

@Nati_Sports Feels really similar to last years roster. Bleday and Myers could be a better platoon, maybe. But I think they can still be better than 2025. Elly, Steer, McClain, Marte can all be improve offensively in 2026, without being unreasonable with the expectations. But, get more!
