Great teams don't worry about the format - Glass full people find ways to get better - glass half empty people want to change the rules - we as fans should concentrate on ways to want the team better, not worry about the path to get the cup. You can't control the path.

@CoachSwit Or, maybe your team should not be in a position where you have to rely on the ump to make a call in your favor? If your team is reliant on an ump’s call, then your team isn’t very good. Umps make mistakes. Coaches and players make mistakes. Deal with it. That’s life.

Might sound crazy, but maybe one day varsity H.S. baseball needs Robot Umpires/ABS System.
No disrespect to umpires, but with league titles & playoff spots on the line, consistency behind the plate matters.
Cost would be an issue, but something to think about. Thoughts?

If you’ve been following our account for awhile, you’ll know I’m not a unwritten rules type of baseball fan, but if you’re a runner on first who pretends to fall down on your way to second base so you can create a diversion for the runner on third base to score then you should be hit in your next at bat.

I’m all for showing emotions after hitting a HR. Afterall it’s a kids game. But this 12 year old kid, who almost smokes himself in the head with his bat after slamming it to the ground went way over in my opinion. Like seriously, dunking a basketball in a mini net when heading back to the dugout is so lame.

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.
