Player Spotlight Q&A with Chase Davis QB 2027’| 6'5” | 195 pounds | 4.62 40 yard | 12th Grade | Martinsville, IN | gpa: 3.5 | Favorite road stadium? Other than my own stadium I enjoy playing at either Mooresville or Bloomington south. Since they are such heated rivalries it just brings out the crowd, the noise, and a crazy atmosphere. Toughest road stadium? The toughest road stadium to play in is probably Whiteland with the noise they bring. Best advise you've received? The best advice I’ve ever received is to just stay cool and calm and not force things. I know it sounds simple but with so much going on at the quarterback position it’s sometimes hard to be calmed and ready for the play. My head coach gave me this advice and usually tells me to stay cool and have fun on Friday nights. All Star Game? To play in the North vs South all star game would mean a great deal to me. It’s always something that you want to be apart of as a kid. Competing with the best of Indiana would be an awesome experience no doubt. Best thing about your school? The best part about being a student athlete at my school is that I get to help younger kids playing football. We have lots of various speed and agility and football specific camps, looking back on it when I was young the coolest guys around where the ones who suited up on Friday nights. I like to return the favor as much as I can when it comes to the future Artesians! Favorite part of practice? My favorite part of practice is definitely 2 minute. It’s the closest you get to the real thing without it actually being season time. Is portal impacting your recruiting? The transfer portal for sure made recruiting harder for high school players. But if there’s a will there’s a way. I feel like it really separates who’s serious about football. I know for me it hasn’t been a deterrent but just a reason to work harder. Favorite sports movie? My favorite sports movie is most definitely Remember the Titans. Favorite athlete? If I could sit down with any athlete for an hour I would without a doubt choose Peyton Manning. He was an idol for me being an Indiana kid. I could always find myself supporting Denver when he was there. A close second is Andrew luck. Top 2025 Moment A moment from last season that stands out to me was when I threw for 5 touchdowns at Perry Meridian
