When I was on staff w Coach Schmidt we ate lunch together every day for 2 straight years. Years later we faced each other as head coaches. Day of game he calls me & asks if I have a belt he could borrow, forgot his. During the national anthem he looks across at me, smiles a goofy smile & starts showing off his new belt. Dude is the best! Happy Retirement Schmitty!!
