I get asked often at his size how does he play, Qb. One I think that stipulation is a little overrated, but mostly because of who he is. Leader that cares and lifts others to elevate their game and is all about we. Love you and proud of u. Now get to work!

Don’t talk about my blood much, but very proud of @beefydude59 for joining older brother @cometqb7 receiving the honor of the IFD Prime Time 25 and being featured on the cover of the Indiana Football Digest. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.@Comets_AD #unfinishedbusiness

I was watching a baseball practice and something just clicked. Sometimes there is carryover from other sports. This is a drill we started using to teach QBs how to “flip their hips” around to get the ball out immediately to the side of their throwing arm.

@AdamArchuleta Also, if we don’t ask those questions, we can become complacent. If we know why, then we can adapt teaching when situation changes. So thanks for asking😀

@AdamArchuleta I didn’t take it that way at all. For sure getting hands off is hard, but I have found understanding not to crate a lane by taking easier path is also very hard. I like to progress it, and also understanding space and proximity to ball carrier is also a point that takes time

I'm of the opinion that the hardest and most important part of "block destruction" is being able to "clear" the body and hands of the blocker. The blocker will almost always continue to hold your jersey, lean and push you as you attempt to shed. Practicing actual release moves that work is something I rarely see done with 2nd 3rd level defenders when working shock and shed drills, but should be a high priority in my book. I personally have never understood why we use shields to practice this, considering our hands should never be locked out higher than our heads... Hand placement should grabbing the sides of the chest plate and controlling the offensive blocker so we can properly throw him or use the release move of choice.. #PracticeWithPurpose

@clh_strength @ChrisParno @CoachKenVick @KenClarkSpeed There’s a clear correlation to force application. But for limb velocity? Probably much lower than people think. You may improve neural output (rate coding) in the weight room. The real question I ask myself is how much of that actually transfers to sprinting?

Knowledge is power! The best coaches I’ve been around have an elite growth mindset, know what they know, and also know what they don’t know. They’re always hungry to learn and get better!

Wise words from Jon Sumrall: "I think it's valuable to learn from everybody I interact with - whether it's Urban Meyer, Ron Zook, Liam Coen or y'all. "I want to learn something from you. "I go watch my son's middle school practice, I'm like, 'What can I pick up here?'"
