Game 3: Morenci used a 7-pt run to flip an early 2-pt deficit into a 9-4 lead and extended their edge to 10 at 16-6 early in the 2nd qtr. Ishpeming chipped away and eventually took the lead at 21-20 early in the 3rd, which kicked off a flurry of lead changes. A little later, Janessa Eagle hit a pull up jumper and then scored on a fast break layup to give Ishpeming their largest lead at 33-30. Colbie Ekins scored inside off an offensive rebound putback and Emersyn Bachelder hit a pair of FTs to put Morenci up 34-33 with 3:19 left. Mya Hemmer buried 2 FTs at 2:48 to give Ishpeming the lead back at 35-34. After numerous empty possessions each way, Camby Gauthier scored on a layup to increase Ishpeming's advantage to 3 with 0:34 remaining. Soph Kenna Hunt (pictured, #1) was dynamic and impactful on both ends of the court in leading the way with 16 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, and 7 steals as she flirted with a quadruple-double.
