Think you could survive as a one-man army against an entire enemy base?
Back in 1992, Commodore 64 players got to live the ultimate Arnold Schwarzenegger fantasy in Arnie — a brutal isometric run-and-gun that still holds up today. Here are 5 facts about this forgotten C64 gem that you didn't want to know:
1. Developer and Publisher: Developed by Realms of Fantasy (primarily coded, with graphics by Chris Butler) and published by Zeppelin Games as a budget title (tape priced at £3.99).
2. Gameplay Style: Arnie is an isometric, multi-scrolling run-and-gun shoot 'em up. You controlled a one-man army soldier airlifted into an enemy base, fighting through army camps, soldiers, tanks, helicopters, and more to reach and defeat a dictator's HQ. It features weapon pickups, starting with an Armalite AR-15, plus an M60, RPG-7, and flamethrower with limited ammo.
3. Inspired by Action Heroes: The title clearly rips off Arnold Schwarzenegger ("Arnie"), though it's not a licensed game or tied to any specific movie... or is it? It has a strong Commando/Rambo feel, but with an isometric perspective... and no Arnold Schwarzenegger.
4. Reception and Legacy: It earned solid reviews like Commodore Force 89%, even though they called it "Simple and mindless", it was I suppose, but I loved it!
Commodore Format and Zzap!64 magazine both rated it 83%, the later saying "As soon as Arnie starts blasting you're hooked"... so true!
5. Demo Power-Pack Star: A demo version was included on the cover tape of Commodore Format magazine issue 21. This helped build hype for the full £3.99 release and gave players a strong taste of the action before buying. I miss playable demos, they were the best... cheap thrills :)

Before Pulp Fiction, a lot of people saw John Travolta as a washed-up star or someone stuck playing flashy old-school roles. But this film completely changed that perception.
Travolta brought a natural coolness to Vincent Vega — funny, laid-back, but also strangely dangerous — and turned him into one of the most iconic characters of his career.

Marco Rubio responded in Spanish: “La política de Estados Unidos en ese tema no ha cambiado.”
Translation: “The United States’ policy on this issue has not changed.”
He added there are no updates on the bounty or negotiations right now, and when policy shifts they’ll announce it officially. (The reporter had asked about Diosdado Cabello’s status as a narcoterrorist/drug trafficker.)
