Would this work? If you don’t make the College Football Playoff and then decline going to a selected Bowl Game, you are not eligible for the College Football Playoff for 2 years - I think they might play in whatever Bowl Game they are selected for!

Steve Sarkisian said, "Nobody’s going to give you playing time, you earn that playing time." "What we've lost as a society is the ability to persevere." Entitlement is easy - earning it is hard. It means mastering the art of delayed gratification and patience.

For athletes/parents in all sports - If you perform at any level, they’ll find you! Before worrying about being drafted or becoming a pro, focus on becoming a really good player in high school and college first! You can’t skip any steps in the process.

One last thought on Officiating. Why would anybody do this job at any level? Go to a Little League game, AAU tournament or a high school game and parents & fans are complete idiots. (Yeah, you👀)

I know this doesn't fit today's narrative, but apparently, neither does hitting for a high average. MBAGA: Make Batting Average Great Again! Back of the cage hitters! 👀🔑🚀

Jalen Brunson said, "The one thing that separates great players from good players is their detail." "They take pride in watching film, watching what they eat, and making sure they're in the best shape of their life. Just to get that edge." Little details make big differences!

Brad Stevens is a master at building WINNING teams. Whether he’s on the sidelines or in the front office, his approach is a masterclass in leadership that every coach, athlete, and leader can learn from. Here are 5 ways Brad Stevens leads teams to success. 1: ACCEPT Your Role - Brad Stevens understands how important it is to define roles clearly and put players in positions to be successful. He also understands the power of "we" over "me" and is a master at communicating this to his players. “I told our players at Butler, 'I hate to break it to you, but you aren't playing beyond here. That's reality. So why are you so concerned with yourself?' It's a hard lesson, but I told them, 'How you handle your role on this team will be remembered by your coaches and your teammates. It will define you.” 2: ADVERSITY Shows Character - The number one separator to success is the ability to bounce back and be resilient. As coaches and leaders, we must prepare ourselves and our players to develop this resilience muscle. “You have a chance to show your true colors through adverse times. You can make a conscious decision to change things.” 3: Mediocrity vs. GREATNESS - The great ones find ‘joy in the journey.’ They love to put in the time, love the process, and have a growth mindset. “The difference between mediocre, good, and great is you're able to have the enthusiasm for prep, to work to prepare to win the same in January that you do in August when everybody says they're excited.” 4: EMPOWER your Leaders - Excellent player leadership is critical to winning teams. On a basketball team, Brad Stevens knows how to empower his players to be leaders. This is one example of how he did it. “I've always found that in a team of 15 people, it's a little different than in a team of 40 or 50 people. If I name two or three people captains, inevitably, you're disempowering more than you're empowering." 5: Be NEXT-DAY Oriented - This is about the process, the journey, and having a next-play approach to life. We can learn and grow from every experience. Use this process to get better each day. “I could probably go through our losses in much more detail than our wins throughout my career. But you have to be able to move on to what's next, and I'm very process-oriented and next-day oriented.” _____ Do you like this post? Like and re-post with your followers. Follow me @gregberge.
