@coachwes_23 Definitely as an FCS head coach, I made sure our coaches knew and watched every regional d2 offer, as an FBS coach I made sure we had evaluated every FCS offer. There are great players at every level

If you are a high school Quarterback and you cannot get up on the white board in front of the room and draw up 6-8 basic coverages, identify who the defenders are and their assignments, and tell me how to attack them, your coach is doing you a disservice and you are WAY behind!

Sat in a recruiting meeting once where the conversation about a kid lasted 45 seconds. His film was good. His measurables checked every box. His grades were fine. The position coach put his name up, two assistants said "I have heard he is a problem," and the head coach said move on. 45 seconds. That kid never knew why the offer he expected never came. He spent his whole senior year wondering what happened. Coaches are not just building rosters. They are building locker rooms. Every offer is a bet on who you are as a person, not just as a player. Act accordingly.

Wide Receivers, ask yourself: can you get off press coverage? Do you have the speed to threaten a DB’s leverage when they’re playing off? Do you understand the game well enough to find the open hole in the zone coverage and settle? Can you create separation in your routes? And when the ball comes your way, can you catch it consistently? Are you a hands catcher? What about after the catch, do you have the juice to make defenders miss and get to the end zone? When you’re not getting the ball, are you unselfish? Do you take pride in blocking? These are the questions that matter. Be honest with yourself, and let your answers guide how you train and improve every day. #letsgo

WR is the only position in football that everyone thinks they know how to coach. I see these long technique critiques/advice/posts/comments - then I click on the person’s profile who said it and wonder “Where is this coming from?!” “What is your source of information?” 😂🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️
