All I can say as a reminder…. Put your TRUST in God with everything. Portal. Team building. Recruiting. Whoever is supposed to be there will be there.
Ain’t that right @coachlexmurph 😌

This is 100 pct rooted in respect for the opposing coach who just experienced a devastating loss

Say what you want about Rick Pitino but I absolutely love his stoic reaction on his team’s buzzer beater to go to St John’s first Sweet 16 since 1999. I don’t know how he stays so calm during such a thrilling moment.

Some of these youth programs crack me up. Overheard some parents this weekend.
A program was telling their kids they can only play for their team and not another. If it isn’t taking away time from games and practices then there’s no issue. I understand when it feels like a coach thinks they’re trying to steal your kid. But if that’s the case let them go, that player will choose who they want to play for. If players love more than one program let them play both if there’s no conflicts. Coaches it’s okay, keep teaching the players you still have.
When a student graduates HS/College there’s more than one teacher that’s helped them pass along the way to get to graduation day.
If you feel like your the only coach whose going to win them some meaningless games (U14 - U8) and get them to a college all by yourself, if that’s what they truly want. GOOD LUCK.
Seen this too many times. For example, my daughters have and will always be allowed to play for multiple coaches. It’s a learning experience all the way around.
Some coaches bring them off the bench, others view them as starters. It’s good either way they’re learning to play in any situation.
A lot of kids I still coach ask me if it’s okay to play with other teams when we aren’t in season or don’t have games that weekend. The answer will always be YES! Go hoop and ball out. Go learn and enjoy it while doing it.
For most this game doesn’t last forever.
