They aren't coming to see how many points you score. They are coming to see if your game is translatable to the next level, are your coachable, what kind of teammate you are. Your body language, how you take Coaching, How you Compete. Those are more important than a stat line

When you're on the bench, gather information! Most players sit & wait to get back into the game. Instead of waiting & resting, be learning... About the person you're guarding. About the tendencies of the other team. About how to gain advantages when you go back in.

@Get_bucketss @LadyRamsBasket1 @Coach_Yang With that thinking, why play a second half? If you’re good enough to be up at halftime you are the better team. Actually one step further…first team to score is the better team right? Situational playing is a very important part of the game and a players development.

@LadyRamsBasket1 @Coach_Yang Cap, it puts the emphasis on winning the game and not on basketball. If you’re good enough to be up then you’re good enough to execute and get a bucket within 30 seconds. Also holding the ball usually ends in a turnover anyways

AAU Coaches, please do not hold the ball with 2 minutes left in the game regardless of the score. Play ball till the buzzer sounds please. Thank you!
