Crystal Lake South junior Carson Trivellini already has won five regional titles in baseball and basketball but isn't satisfied. The guard averaged 18.1 points this season in leading South to a sectional final. He is the 2026 Northwest Herald Boys Basketball Player of the Year.

College basketball is past due for a 24 second shot clock. It will make the game even better. The ball stops too often, takes a long time to get into actions, ball often moves side to side too much before any attacks.
