The AHSAA Radio Network Coastal Alabama Player of the Week, presented by Greene & Phillips - Injury Lawyers is Fairhope Pirates Junior Quarterback Trey Garner, who led his Pirates to a 38-21 win over their arch rival Daphne Trojans. Garner threw 3 touchdown passes and ran for 2 more in this annual rivalry. Garner was 15-25 passing for 224 yards. His touchdown runs of 5 and 11 yards kept the Trojan defense off balance most of the night. The win improved the Pirates season record to 7-2 and their 7A Region 1 record to 5-1. The Pirates of Head Football Coach Tim Carter, will now face Coach Eric Scott’s Baker Hornets this Friday night in a very important 7A Region 1 match up at Clem Richardson Stadium on the campus of Baker High School.
