@CoachMike901 @Hoopmanx If you don't think that there's a desire by young black players to see people in a position of power that look like them, then I pity you. Funny how it's always race baiting to think a black player may want to play for a black coach.

I realize Penny is a bit of an extra special case, but it's almost as if young black players aren't as interested in being wooed by old white guys as they used to be. Kids are waking up from a decades long slumber. Maybe some more ADs should too.

@BClap23 @CoachingChanges But a great assistant coach knows what the head coach wants..doesn't matter if we like the player or not it's about it the head coach likes the kid. So if you recruit right you will win.

@CoachingChanges Coach Cal isn't either at Kentucky but he gets all the credit but as an assistant coach myself on the college level we are great recruiters...so let Penny have his shine like every other head coach...but Penny is Memphis.
