@CoachMugs @MrPatMineo @jacoblachs It kind of happened this year. Florida State’s QB was hurt at the end of the season and they were left out of the playoff. Still not a great comparison since that decision was made by a committee and not the NCAA though

Indication is Starocci will obviously compete at NCAA tournament regardless of injury (possible dislocated knee) - has some time to rest up. I think it’s likely he sits out of B1G tournament (step on and off mat)- which under new format/rules would give him 2 losses on his record, likely pushing him to a 4-6 seed (don’t think that matters much compared to the extra rest). He can win his 4th natty even if he’s at 70%, IMO.

@MrPatMineo @jacoblachs This is so weird to me, I know it’s an individual sport so it’s not Apples to Apples but could you imagine a football player being injured for the conference championship game and the NCAA saying they couldn’t then play in the national championship because of that? Bizarre to me

@jacoblachs No they cannot do this. He has to enter the tournament/ doesn’t have to actually wrestle.
