Recruiting Notes 3/31/25 March is ending and April is approaching fast! You should be finalizing your camp plans for the end of May and the month of June. Again, as a reminder, it's good to camp where there is mutual interest. As a parent of 3 former college players we planned our camp circuit like this; One Mega Camp- get in front of a large number of coaches and compete against a large number of players from around the country. Many schools will receive the results from these camps and use them to update their database, so even if they don't see you in person they will have updated height, weight, speed numbers, and will be able to pull up video of your reps in some cases. Two camps on college campuses- where there is mutual interest. Notify the coach you have been speaking with, what day you will be in attendance. On that day when you see him, go shake hands and let them know you made it and are excited to be working out for them. One REACH- Chase one logo. Same plan as above as far as reaching out to the coach, but we would try to go to one camp where we knew it was probably a long shot. It was good to see the facilities and compete against what was usually a select group of elite competition. I hope this helps you decide on how to plan your camp calendar. As always if you have a question, shoot me a DM and I'll try to answer, (unless you're in the non-contact range for me).

Recruiting Notes (Back in Action!!) Contact Period starts today. If you are a HS prospect in the 2025 (there may still be a need for select 2025’s) 2026, 2027, 2028 pay attention; Coaches can be in your school today. 1.) Most importantly, be present and be presentable. When we are trying to find out about a prospect we really want, we won’t just take 1 person’s opinion. We will ask the librarian the custodian, the secretary, the bus driver, someone who sees you and knows you and will give us valuable information on how you really are as a student/person. We all want student athletes who will elevate our program, not bring it down. 2) Remember you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Firm handshake, look them in the eye, speak up so they can hear. Smile! Small things like that go a long way. 3) Lots of times you might get stuck on what to ask. Here are some good topics; - Do you have a junior day or prospect day coming up? - Do you know how many HS prospects you plan to sign in December? - Do you have the camp schedule set for this summer? - Do you have a need at my position? -Have you seen my film? If so, what are some things I can do better? Remember, coaches are people too. They get in this business because they love the game and what it does for young people. Good luck to all! #BoilerUp
