@coach_edmonson @CoachThompson08 Top times marks need to be hosted by colleges only. Region 1 West Texas(UTEP,Tech, West Texas A&M). Region 2(UNT,SMU,Baylor). Region 3(UH,SFA,TSU). Region 4(Texas,UTSA,UTRGV). So every school has an opportunity. Then take filler spots from regionals.

@CoachThompson08 Or do like the do in college and set a State standard of time that gets the fastest teams to the state meet. Once that time is hit you in and the regional top to times get in State as well. Just a thought nothing permanent 🤷🏾‍♂️

Now that regional track meets are over, here comes my yearly rant. We have to find a way to get the fastest times or farthest marks to the state track meet. My thought is make the state meet prelims and finals. Top 2 from regional meet and next 10 best marks go. Thoughts?

“40.8 don’t get you to state” Let’s kill this narrative of fast times not qualifying for the state meet and feel it sorry for them lol. Elite coaches are planning when their kids peak. Very strategic with their personnel & many other factors. Time only telling part of the story!

@CoachQ_Butler Bro last year we lead the whole race shocked people and my 4th leg got happy and we ran out the zone ! i wanted to peter pan off the top of kingsville stadium lol . but i pulled it together cause the were hurt. Boys we good we got another race
