Coach Sandford brings over a decade of professional baseball experience and a proven track record of developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Known throughout professional baseball for his elite speed, defensive versatility, and leadership, Sandford has competed at the highest levels of affiliated and independent professional baseball while transitioning into a successful coaching career. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Sandford attended Cardinal Ritter College Prep before continuing his career at Park University (NAIA) in Missouri. During his collegiate career, he became one of the nation's premier base stealers, setting school records and earning recognition from Major League Baseball scouts for his game-changing speed. In the 2010 MLB Draft, Sandford was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 47th Round (1,409th Overall). During his rookie season, he led the Arizona Rookie League with 30 stolen bases in just 38 games, quickly establishing himself as one of professional baseball's fastest players. A former High School All-State selection and College All-American, Ratliff established himself as one of the top competitors at every level of the game. His outstanding collegiate career earned him Conference Player of the Year honors before advancing to the professional ranks. During his professional career, Ratliff posted remarkable numbers, averaging 33.0 points per game, 12.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 62% from the field and 93% from the free throw line. As a coach, Ratliff has spent the past five years developing athletes as a Travel Volleyball Trainer & Coach, helping players improve their technical skills, volleyball IQ, leadership, and confidence. Excited to announce is an understatement, Tyus Millhollin @tyus_millhollin will be the Aces Elite STEAM Academy Boys Basketball @AESASports @AcesEliteSTEAM. He comes to us with NBA-College & High School Coaching experience in his young career. Professionally, he served as a Player Assistant for the Sacramento Kings (2022–2025), contributing to G League Summer Combine workouts & NBA Summer League operations. As a professional skills trainer, he has worked with more than 100 professional & college players, collaborating with organizations including PNW Sports Group and trainer Jared Waters (KI Hoops). As a player, Coach Millhollin earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors after a record-breaking season in which he set the single-season and single-game three-point records while averaging 15.9 points per game. Prior to that, he starred at Fresno City College, helping lead the program to back-to-back Central Valley Conference championships and a California Community College Final Four appearance, earning CCCMBCA All-State Tournament Team recognition. In his HS career, he ended with an Utah State Championship and State MVP honors in high school before competing on elite AAU teams alongside future NBA and high-level Division I talent.
