A lot of recruits don’t realize this… The majority of D1 schools are from the Midwest to the East Coast. Geography matters. Schools recruit regionally: more access, more exposure, more opportunities. It’s not just talent. It’s location + strategy.

@MikeSheahan122 Apparently the district has already sold 3 schools. Raised teachers insurance plans and froze all teachers scheduled pay raises. Enrollment is scary low and the district is still in the Red.

@MikeSheahan122 No we’re not. We took the advice of the community. Made ourselves aware to kids locally. Recruiting kids from out of state but we are recruiting middle school kids locally currently.

@CoachCarter85 I’m not implying this will be effective immediately. But I have heard that several times in the last year that it’s something being considered. No body wants it to happen and no one deserves it to happen.

@toddnewman10 I was a PXU teacher for 3 years. I was made aware of the massive negative financial deficits in the district. I’m made aware by teachers that insurance plans have gone up, raises are on a freeze. While still being 10m in the whole. More kids leaving then coming.
