@franfraschilla If they expand they need to let the really good mid major teams in that don’t get an aq. A power 5 team with a losing record in conference play has no business being a ncaa tournament team and should never be let in to the big dance.

My way to improve March Madness. (64 is the perfect number and 72 is the next perfect number): Expand the NCAA Tournament to 72 team with 32 automatic qualifiers, 24 seeded at-large teams and 16 at-large teams that play in First 8 on Tuesday/Wednesday. No auto qualifier will play in First 8. So, the 10th place team in SEC or Big 10 is in the First Eight and, for example, Howard, MEAC Champ is already in field. Who doesn’t wanna see Vandy versus Rutgers in the First Eight? Placate these power conference commissioners before they destroy our sport completely.

@SethDavisHoops Seth this would be awesome but it needs to be expanded to let the good mid major teams in. You should not be able to go to the ncaa tournament as a at large team with a losing record in your conference! Absolutely insane we let those bad teams in over good mid majors!

We need to have a better reason other than we “like” the tourney at 64 or 68 teams. The lower seeds have performed exponentially better the last 15 years.
