FBS and FCS programs are still recruiting high school players at a very high level. Just because they didn’t want your son doesn’t mean they didn’t want someone else’s. That’s the part many families refuse to accept. Stop lying to yourself. And more importantly, stop filling that young man’s head with excuses. That’s not preparing him for adulthood. That’s teaching him to avoid accountability. Development requires honesty first. So ask yourself. Are you helping him grow, or protecting feelings at the cost of progress?
