Random thought — of the mountain of goosebump-inducing stats Yordan Alvarez has generated this season, I think my favorite one is that he’s only challenged one pitch on the ABS all season. One. Nothing says “Fuck it, I’ll eventually beat you anyway” than that. Elite.

Do we know what happened to the kid walking with the old man who got moon tossed? Did the bison paralyze him?
Looked like kid was wearing a Dolphins jersey, which means getting stomped by a bison is probably only like the 12th worst thing to happen to him in the last 12 months.

Pro tip from a friend with bison: if the tail starts wagging vigorously, trouble is on the way. When the tail goes straight up, it's too late, trouble has arrived. Watch the tail.

Do you remember @SethCPayne wasn’t it about a week to 10 days ago when @SeanTPendergast was able to announce it if the season ended today, the Astros have made the final wildcard spot.
Now look how far we have fallen; three teams have passed us and two others only a half a game behind us you could say oh we’re only a game and a half out of the wild spot fighting five other teams for that one spot.

Hell of an effort by Brice Matthews on that fly ball — my big wish for 2nd half — Matthews and Cam Smith become consistent MLB hitters, because they are fun as hell to watch in the OF, especially considering they’ve been playing out there a combined total of barely one season.

When Bryce was revealed at 98th, I thought CJ was a lock. With each subsequent QB, it feels shakier.
