In the last month, Boston sports fans have seen the - Pats HC have his years-long affair with a reporter exposed - Red Sox fire their manager and sit in last place in the division - Bruins lose in R1 of the playoffs - Celtics blow a 3-1 lead to the 76ers in R1 of the playoffs
Meanwhile, you’d have to pay Tari Eason to come back, and likely do some pricy extension with Amen Thompson. All to throw them back into some non-KD, “low stakes” petri dish with a new coach to “find out what you have”. All due respect, this is a fucking TERRIBLE suggestion.
If I were running the Rockets, I’d change coaches and trade Kevin Durant. Get contending out of your mind next year. This culture needs a reset, and you have to find out what you really have with the young guys. Spend next year evaluating the core in a lower-stakes environment.

My predictions for the Rockets offseason: • Udoka/Stone won’t be fired • Young Core of Şengün, Amen, Jabari, Reed return • Eason (depending on price) returns • FVV comes back • Adams (TBD, I’m not sure) • Everyone else is gone So… Not a ton of change 🤷♂️
