Today’s battle revealed the true condition of our regiment. Youth & inexperience showed themselves, yet such trials are not fought for the scoreboard. They are fought to learn which men stand firm when the battle begins. We return to drill next week wiser, sharper, and prepared

Day seven tested the spirit of the squadron. Tragedy struck our ranks, yet the cadets stood together and chose, by unanimous voice, to march forward. Resolve is forged in moments such as these. One more night until our first battle. We carry on…together. 🐶⚾️

Day six brought a smaller, voluntary drill for the regiment. What this group of cadets lack in size and strength, we make up for with heart and resolve. Two more slumbers until the first scrimmage battle. The cadets stand ready. 🐶⚾️

Day 5 brought a brief reprieve for the regiment. The recent intrasquad skirmishes were fierce, and the cadets earned a day to recover. I now study the first week’s drills and measure the strength of our team. Four days remain until the first battle. The campaign approaches. ⚾️🐶

Day 1 is complete. The cadets who reported for strength & conditioning have begun earning their place in the ranks. The new cadets have work to do. No man is ready by simply wearing the uniform. 7 days until our first contest. We train with purpose. We prepare for battle. ⚾️🐶
