@StoolGreenie If we need 2 years under the luxury to escape the repeater tax I am now insanely depressed, I thought we only needed 1 year to reset

The more I think about it, the more I think the Celts roster direction comes down to one main question Is the lowering of the luxury tax bill that has already happened, enough? To reset the repeater tax, you need 2 consecutive seasons under the luxury tax. Even if you think they do that this league year, they are definitely not doing it once we get to the summer of 2026 as they retool the roster with Tatum back. The repeater penalties will still exist So, in order to account for that, do they need to not pay it for 1 year, or is it low enough now to where ownership is comfortable with the check they would have to write? Does it make sense to offload an asset like Simons, knowing you are going to be right back over the tax this summer and pay the same repeater penalties? Or, does it make sense to keep him, cut the tax bill check this summer and then extend at a better number for the next iteration of the roster?
