I am convinced that Leadership is about Energy. What type of energy do you exude? - Positive energy is contagious - Competitive energy is contagious. - Team-first energy is contagious. This is why teams consistently win. They have leaders who transfer this energy to others.

PLAYER-LED TEAMS 🏆 Player-led teams take ownership. Player-led teams hold people accountable. Player-led teams don't need to be motivated. Player-led teams don't need to be monitored. Player-led teams enforce the team's culture. Player-led teams win.

If you can't get it done in practice you won't get it done on game day. If you're not confident in practice you won't be confident on game day. If you're not focused in practice you won't be focused on game day. The habits you cultivate in practice will show up on game day.

Strong team leaders are not a luxury but a necessity if you want to win. Leaders set the tone for your team. Leaders refocus your team when the stuff hits the fan. Leaders keep the locker room positive and productive. Leaders have your back when you're not around. #LeadersMatter

The magic is found in the… A focus on fundamentals Developing a winning mindset Getting the right players on the bus Building a culture every day Trusting the process Teaching players how to win

When I visit our Minor League clubs, I don't just jump right into coaching. The first thing I do is listen and watch. I start "collecting coins." "Collecting coins" is finding out about who the players really are. I want to learn about them. Were there two parents in the house growing up? Just mom? Just dad? Any mentors? Did they love school or struggle with it? What do they like to do when they're not on the field? Movies? Books? How do they learn best? Anyone can read a scouting report and tell you about their arm strength or speed. But real trust starts building when you take the time to learn about who someone really is. Here's what I've learned: nobody lets you coach them until they trust you. And they won't trust you until they know you care about them as a person, not just what they can do on the field. Make a difference today. Love, Clint

“The glue that we have with our brotherhood, how much we care about the man beside us really makes us unshakable. Whenever we’re in any adversity, stick by each other not finger pointing. Thats what elevates us to our competition and exceeds expectations in high adversity moments,” Fernando Mendoza
