Hitters Fight your ass off with 2 strikes. Spread out, choke up, take the plate away and refuse to strikeout. It's you vs the man on the mound. Don't let him beat you. It's personal. It's a competition. Remember. The only time it's acceptable to strikeout looking is with a full count on an expanded strike call. Shrink the zone and don't expand in full counts. Expand the zone with 2 strikes until the count goes full. Then shrink the zone.

Went to a HS game yesterday. Had a D1 coach come meet me there to watch a kid. During the game, the team’s catcher would sprint to his position every inning. He’s an underclassman, the D1 coach wasn’t there for him, he is now on that coaches radar. Some things preached at every level - ▪️sprint to your spot between innings ▪️show off your arm in between innings ▪️serious throws in the INF/OF and as a catcher You can be 0-3 and still make an impression

What I learned today. Apparently a lot of people have fallen victim to bad travel baseball. That hurts my heart. Travel was originally set up so the best could be challenged by the best. Apparently not the model anymore.

The amount of baseball accounts, that say they were scouts is crazy…a Bird Dog/Associate Scout for a club, doesn’t give you the right to say you were an MLB scout…You were not. Unless you were a salaried contract scout, you’re and never were a scout. In today’s world of the internet, Baseball Reference and the Baseball America Directory is a fact check. If you were not in the latter, you were not a scout.
