How thrower nominees stack up to the selected finalists ⬇️
Don’t see a single conceivable argument for Furlani over Katzberg. If whoever is part of the World Athletics Council or Family gave him an edge solely because weight isn’t contested at World Indoors and Furlani’s double golds was the separator, that’s very stupid.
Figured Mondo didn’t need any listing out of accolades, I could conceive an argument with enough bad faith to complain about that 😅

These are all great nominees but this should go to Valarie Allman.
Basically set the clean world record and was winning major meets by 10+ feet. No one dominated like Val. (Hasn’t lost since 2023!)

Valarie Allman 🇺🇸 wins GOLD in the women’s Discus Throw!!🥇
After taking Silver and Bronze at the previous editions of the World Championships, she finally struck GOLD in Tokyo with a throw of 69.48m.
Jorinde van Klinken 🇳🇱 was 2nd with 67.50m, while Silinda Morales 🇨🇺 took Bronze with a PB of 67.25m.
