This Ty Simpson stuff is just hilarious to me. People are really desperate. The guy is old with limited starts and has terrible measurables (height, weight, hand size). Here is how he stacks up vs all other QBs drafted over 20 years. I cant find any other QB drafted in rd1 with that poor of measurables at this age. Taking him in the top half of rd1 is pretty laughable imo but the NFL is the NFL

@cfrank1319 @Clevta The browns need all the help they can get in the WR room. The only question is his speed. He’s a 1st down and RedZone threat that is physical and can play inside or outside. If he’s there late 2nd/3rd how do you not add? Tate or Tyson at X and Sarratt at Z is ideal.

@CoachStoneLHS @Clevta I don’t think sarratt fits what the Browns need at all. He doesn’t separate at all. He struggled might lead to separate at the college level. He was just pretty much exceptional on back shoulder throws. Not sure that translates to the nfl

Repost from the weekend. Omar Cooper was getting a LOT of hype when I was in Indy. Im so curious how he tests bc just a good weekend and he vaults into late 1st category imo. As a Browns fan some combo of best T available + Cooper + another T is ideal. Was initially hoping to wait till 39 for him but may not be the case

Looking back at the last decade of WRs in the NFL draft. What are some of the metrics heading into the NFL from the best WRs drafted from 2015+ and how do the top WR prospects this year compare. Athletic testing will effect things but many are sitting out testing these day anyway. YPRR, PFF Rec Grade and Age in combination have been excellent predictors of success. The guys who have entered the draft in the 85th percentile+ since 2015 in all 3 categories: Nabers, London, Amari, CeeDee, Chase, JSN, Higgins, Elijah Moore (lol). Only Carnell Tate in this year's class clears all three. Lemon would be 2nd with a solid profile. Tate scores awesome. Cooper is very intriguing. Just with the data, profiles similar to Jauan Jennings. The recent historical profile of Concepcion is littered with mediocre to busts at WR fwiw. The good news is he is still young for upside but only based on the data Id never take him rd1.

If the #Browns are serious about winning now, and maximizing the roster it has already committed money and years to…then the answer is not another first time head coach or schematic gamble in my opinion. The answer is Mike McCarthy.

I’ve seen suggestions for DC Jim Schwartz to be the next #Browns HC & it makes sense Not just because his scheme is great & continuity for the locker room But his pride in being a CLE Brown- you can tell where the defense got their identity from

My personal head coaching preferences ranked
1. Rams DC Chris Shula- from a very successful McVay coaching tree. Developed many young Rams defenders
2. SEA OC Klint Kubiak- unlike stefanski actually knows how to run and adjust in the wide zone offense. 5th in yards per play with Sam Darnold
3. MN DC Brian Flores- great leader that got a bad wrap in Miami. Top 10 defense in takeaways, total yards, 1st downs, and ypc
4. BUF OC Joe Brady- jumped from top 5 worst in Off pre-snap penalties to top 5 best this season. As well as improved the rush offense- Browns offense needs improvement in both
