Former University of Charleston women’s basketball player and head coach Tianni Kelly named the new head coach at Kennesaw State. My first game for @ucwv_athletics was a Tianni Kelly home victory over Concord in January of 2021. Over the next few years @mychalsommer & I got a front row seat to a lot more victories. As the head coach of the Golden Eagles, Kelly went on to win two @TheMountainEast tournament championships, three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances including two Sweet 16 and an Elite Eight appearance while finishing with an 85-32 record in 4 seasons. Kelly took over the University of Charleston women’s basketball program after Becky Burke left for the USC Upstate job.
