Excited to take over a program near and dear to my heart. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to coach my alma mater. 43rd District and 11th Region are no joke but excited to get to work. #Generals

The state of youth baseball has really changed and many families are being misled. The initial plan we had with youth club ball has turned into something I don’t think we envisioned. Community ball needs a revival imho in the 6-11u age group. Focus on development, and fun 1st.

At the power 5 level last year, 52.7% of all pitches thrown were outside the Trackman strike zone. Hitter training environments should almost always involve a swing decision component. Keep the tee work to a minimum.

Dan Heefer explaining the back hip + loaded - Most players desire to feel 'back'; Do that as you work forward. Example: Throwing motion - He's one of the highest regarded & productive coaches in the game.

Ever see a kid toss up a ball in the back yard and try to hit it as far as he can by doing this? Me either. So my philosophy is let's build from what he wants to do naturally and go from there. I think we take the fun part away often times without realizing it.

#1 problem with youth sports is parents contaminating team culture… Kids often times want to be good teammates but hear parents speak about kids on their team a certain way and kids repeat it and the bonds are broken. PSA: You always know when parents are speaking through kids
