I think these posts are slightly misleading. Coinbase is a US-listed public company, and therefore its management and external auditors need to assess its internal controls over financial reporting. The results of this exercise are publicly shared in their annual report. Personally, I’d rather have PCAOB-audited financials and SOX internal-control requirements than solely a proof-of-reserves.
