Spoke to a fellow Tongan who paid $4,000 to a recruiting service. I looked at his son's tape, shared his strengths, weaknesses, projected college position, & which schools to focus on. Asked him why didn't he reach out to me first & he said, "Pride.” Pride sure is expensive.

Thank you to @Coach_Bick for inviting me out for Junior Day! I appreciate the opportunity to visit and learn more about the program. Looking forward to see @UNH_Football ! @CoachTimAsbell @ericoutlaw100

Choose your camps wisely! Your time and money is precious. Most of these “Blessed to be invited to XYZ FBS/FCS camp” are simply players paying to go to the camp like literally ANYONE could. If it’s a school you’re in contact with, who has been actively recruiting you, that’s a good camp. If it’s a school that has your major, fits your social style, and you could see yourself at for the next 4 years with or without football, that’s a good camp. If the first contact you’ve had with the program is through a camp invite, 9 times out of 10 that is not a good camp for you, they’re just trying to drive attendance ($$) through the camp. If you want to go to the camp for the experience to be on a big-time campus, then by all means go for it and have a blast. But, it’s important for you to have the proper expectation.

So many college coaches publicly saying they’re not taking HS players because of the transfer portal, why are there still so many HS camps? Is it truly about evaluation or has it become a revenue stream? The recruiting landscape has changed HS athletes deserve transparency

This is hands-down, my favorite State of the Union moment… 🥺🙏🏼
