PSA to Florida high school football players: Once you hit the practice field officially on July 27th, that team you begin practicing with is who you’re with for the 2026 #hsfb season, per the FHSAA. There’s no checking out a few practices and changing your mind. You begin practicing with that team, that’s who you’ll be with, pending any extraordinary circumstances. I can definitely see into the crystal ball 🔮 that there will be kids, families that will challenge this new rule and that will be the interesting part is how the state association handles the case-by-case basis folks.
