- Hand Pivot Point (Barrel rearwards perpendicular to forearm)
- Rear Leg Pivot Point (Leg drives everything above it)
- Lead foot rolls, also indicates where the weight is prior (doesn’t have to plant for ‘balance’)

I think developing a thrower is like developing a sprinter

I'm with you on the up/back, not around.
Lots of ways to ways to think about the swing, but I kind of see rotation happening in a linear way.
Front hip works back, back hip works forward. Rotation happens, but it isn't spinning.
Front shoulder works up/back, back shoulder works down/forward. Rotation happens, but not pulling off.
(I don't think a hitter should or needs to think about these things.)

With good swings, the shoulders open because you are staying on the ball.
With bad swings, the shoulders open because you are pulling off the ball.
The shoulders absolutely rotate. How they rotate is what matters.

What a TOOL! However I do believe most teams are now selling how many “GAMES“ they will play as a reason to play for them. I truly believe the late fall/winter should be used exclusively for “REST“ then skill development & baseball / softball IQ. TEACH & DEVELOP. #5starsportstc

12U game today…we’re down by 14 runs top 3. Coach is still stealing. So i said “how many runs do you need to beat us by? You’re still stealing up 14”. Mind you they’re hitting home runs and base hits too, so they aren’t a scrappy team. He tells me that the runs matter for Sunday and that maybe i shouldn’t have my team playing AAA level. He got so heated over my comment the umpire had to give him a warning…the home plate umpire had to come all the way down to third base to get him to stop. Over 12U baseball. What are we out here for?
