Situational Football awareness seems to be something that separates the average coaches from the good coaches. Practice the situations with your team. Here is the list of situations I used to make practice plans over the course of the year. Maybe it can help someone out today.

Your “why” is what fuels you. It must be internally motivated. If it’s based on external outcomes, it will fade when you fall short of those outcomes. Your “why” must be bigger than yourself. It should drive you everyday to get better and to overcome all obstacles and adversity. When things get tough, remember why you started.

Always hold the standard. You must rise to the standard, and call others to rise to it as well. The standard never changes. How you do anything is how you do everything. You get what you allow. The little things matter, and you must realize & get others to understand that everything matters. Lead by example. Hold others accountable to the standard. Leave things better than you found them. #RTTS

Congratulations to our Academic all State wrestlers. 5/6 of our seniors earned this distinction!

I’ll be honest… I have struggled/do struggle with every single one of these. It’s hard, especially in this profession, not to compare yourself to others or to strive for that next goal/position/step. Must remember, and practice, being satisfied internally, instead of focusing on outside circumstances you can’t control. Be fulfilled by the work you do & the impact you make, exactly where you are at, and don’t compare your journey or impact to others. Great insight here @julie4nier!!
