I left Afghanistan 20 years ago last week. At 21 years old I had no idea the impact that experience would have in shaping the rest of my life. I had no clue the true significance of Memorial Day until we left that place. 18 men died during my time in country. Each death accompanied by a fallen comrade ceremony where the flag draped casket is carried from the back of a Humvee to the C17 taking the soldier home to its family in Dover, Delaware. I remember the first night this happened, and the reality of war setting in. I didn’t truly understand it until that moment. It absolutely wrecked me each time. I have carried these memories with me for the past 20 years and each year I remember the names of those 18 men whose caskets I rendered a final salute to. Memorial Day is for us to somberly remember those who gave their lives for the freedoms we all enjoy. It is with a heavy heart that this year I add a former player to my remembrance list as he died in a training accident earlier this spring. May these men never be forgotten. @Captain_Joe08 I'm either getting ramp parking- or taking public transit in from a hotel or something-- no chance i'll aimlessly wander looking for parking- thats a nightmare scenario.

@CoachYashinsky I was in downtown St. Paul for a concert a few weeks back. Me and my GF parked at a parking ramp near where the Wild played (they were out of town). Better a ramp than trying to navigate the city streets (which there was construction near the ramp).

For those that have been to US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis... if I were going to a large event there... Would I be better off buying parking at a ramp 2 blocks from the stadium- or taking public transit into the city. I will have a kid with me if that plays into it.

@JoshGolberg Will be leaving the stadium around 10:30pm or so. Taking my daughter to Summer Slam to see @DanhausenAD

@CoachYashinsky We did the ramp two blocks away for our tour in the offseason and it was easy peasy. However parking at the Mall of America and that tram right to the stadium is slick too. Gamedays are nightmares though.

@a7800fez How long is the green line from that stop to us bank?

@a7800fez Good tip. Can you pre-buy parking for that place?

@CoachYashinsky If you decide to drive in, my favorite place to park is in the deck by the Graduate Hotel on the UMN Campus. There is a green line stop right there that brings you right to US Bank. It also lets you avoid all of the traffic downtown after the event.

What’s the rule/opinion on attire attending a high school graduation? Dress clothes, biz casual? Cause I’ve seen a sleeveless tee and a Packers jersey so far along with people that look like they’re going to a wedding. Wide range. What’s the verdict?

@coachkou Not sure I liked it better but it was the original that showed me what CC was and convinced me to buy a sweatshirt.

@TravisBOUND That would be legit. I had a 1/4 barrel of root beer at my grad party but my parents were cheap as hell so I’m sure it wasn’t Sprechers. Pretty sure it was just IGA
