Great couple of days in the PNW! Watched the super blue moon rise in the East off Chris’s deck. Walked a few miles at Point Defiance Park. We took Abby for a walk down to the Sound. Then we hit a couple of wine tasting places I. Gig harbor! Chris’s house is amazing!

CLS’s first frosh to start on the varsity level in football just started his first NFL game and graded out as the top lineman! So proud of Trevor Keegan! Keep it up big guy!

How can it be? Will and Madi are 30! Happy birthday to the Ahsmann twins! So many great memories past and so many more yet to come! Love you guys!

Great news from my doctor today! For the first time in 31 years I am in remission! Because some have asked, remission means no evidence of cancer is detected. After 5 years in remission you are then considered cured! Needless to say, our family is very happy!

Update: 5 weeks and 2 days post infusion. My bloodwork has been improving slowly. Still mostly out of the normal range but that is to be expected. Feeling good today, Ruth and I walked just over 3 miles and my pace was under 17 minutes/ mile for the first time in a long time!

Treatment update: 4 weeks and 2 days after driving to Madison with a fever, we are headed home! Today’s appointments went well. Not completely out of the woods as far as side effects go, we just have to commute to appointments! 10 days earlier than expected! Hell yeah!

Today is day 15 post CAR-T cell therapy. My numbers are heading back in the normal direction. We are not there yet, they keep reminding me! We still need to be vigilant watching for side effects. Thank you so much for all the positive thoughts and prayers!

Today we finally had the CAR-T infusion. The shirt is Ruth’s from 5 years ago when I started the last treatment I was on. We thought it was till appropriate. Now we wait to see if the side effects kick in. Hopefully I don’t have any! Ruth and I celebrated with some Culver’s!

Day 2 Fighting the fight! All is going well so far. Need to drink more water but no nausea so far! Whew! #cancerfighter

Got the ok to begin day one of three chemotherapy sessions before they infuse the CAR-T cell therapy next Monday. Sitting here with the PICC line they put in this morning and chemo flowing into me and I realize how grateful I am for science and all of my supporters!
