Congrats to @hbarnes on being named a finalist for the 2026 NBA Social Justice Champion Award 👏 The annual award honors a current NBA player for pursuing social justice and advancing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s life mission to engage, empower and drive equality for individuals and groups who have been historically disadvantaged.

@WDWBarrett @GetUpESPN @KendrickPerkins It can be disputed. The league had always taken into account reputation/priors/history. Perk had that. What reputation/priors/history does Wemby have before this elbow?

"Victor Wembanyama should have been suspended for tonight's game. ... It's about protecting the brand, not the names on the back of the jersey." —@KendrickPerkins on the NBA not suspending Wemby 😳

Dylan Harper was "astonished" Wemby elbowed Naz Reid 🤯 "He said 'Damn, that's Game 4.'" - @TeamLou23 "I'm surprised this didn't trickle to something else...like Rudy Gobert or Jaden McDaniels..."- @ChandlerParsons "What is Rudy Gobert going to do?" - @MichelleDBeadle 😅

A lot actually. 1. Eye-for-an-eye retaliation for Naz getting elbowed in the face with zero suspension after. 2. It would instantly expose how terrible Adam Silver’s logic is that “no prior history” suddenly outweighs a dangerous elbow to the face. 3. It would prove exactly why suspensions exist in the first place — because if the punishment is weak enough, teams WILL eventually view cheap shots as a strategic tradeoff. 4. And most importantly, it would force the NBA to realize they just created a precedent where the cost of taking a shot at a superstar might only be “lose a bench player for half a game.”

There will be no further discipline for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama after he was ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in Minnesota on Sunday night, sources tell ESPN. No suspension, no fine. Wembanyama will play in Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday night in San Antonio.

Adam Silver didn’t do the right thing today. There’s no place in this league for the dirty stuff Wemby did last night, yet somehow there was no fine and no suspension.

@SleeperHQ Ron Artest has a history and gave James Harden a concussion with that elbow. Malice at the palace didn't teach him anything

@TWolvesLead I've been ragebaiting a bit, but all that aside 100% agree I am glad Naz is fine and was able to put up a great game after I also agree there should've been a fine I just want the rest of this series to be clean hoops with fair officiating both sides. The people deserve it

I’m all for no suspension. No history. And to be honest, Wolves gameplan revolves around playing against Wemby. But no fine is actually kinda insane considering Naz could’ve really been hurt. Seen people fined for doing way less. No fine is showing what he did was ok.

@CTtheMicSlayer All he had to do was cover the ball, until they stopped grabbing at it and got a foul, old fashioned way instead of swinging his arms wildly. We've learned that since the beginning of time, lol.

Victor Wembanyama is expected to absorb an absurd amount of physicality simply because of his size and presence. He’s being treated like he’s an actual Alien, when he’s a human being. This needs to change.

Rudy Gobert when asked if he thinks the physicality in this series is frustrating Victor Wembanyama. "I dunno, ask him. I don't know. I mean, I think it's a very physical series for everybody. They're being very physical with us and we are being very physical with them. That's playoff basketball."
