Minnesota head coach Plitzuweit on seeing and coaching against Cotie McMahon in Big Ten when Cotie was at Ohio State: "She's continuing to grow and develop...Shoots the ball from the arc more than we've seen in the past...her game has continued to grow and develop. You have to understand how hard she attacks...she gets her own rebound a lot of times...how do you work to put yourself in the best position for that? You're not taking alway all her shots. You're just trying to challenge them...."

Gonzaga head coach Lisa Fortier says the physicality of Ole Miss was a lot in this game: "There were a couple of plays where Lauren was being bear-mauled...and that was different than what she's used to." Coach Fortier goes on to say that she thinks that the physical style of play in today's game is much more common in the SEC.
