COACHES SPOTLIGHT: When Stephanie Gaitley was announced as the seventh head coach at Fairleigh Dickinson, the program knew it was bringing in a proven winner. Before arriving in Teaneck, Gaitley had already guided three different programs to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances. Three years into her tenure, she has already taken the Knights to heights the program had never experienced. In just her second season, Gaitley led the team to its first undefeated conference campaign, the most wins in a single season in program history, and—most significantly—the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. This season has brought even more success. Gaitley has guided the Knights to a (27–4) regular-season record and a perfect (18–0) in conference play, the most conference victories in a season for the program. With the postseason ahead, the Knights sit just three wins away from the first 30-win season in program history and are knocking on the door of a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. If they reach the tournament again, it would mark the fourth Division I program that Gaitley has led to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances—another example of why she remains one of the most accomplished coaches in the game. 🪄
